A pop of pink!

28 Sep

Here is aย quick post from last night, before I start packing my bags… I’m off to Indonesia tomorrow to watch two of my close friends get married on Saturday! So exciting! ๐Ÿ™‚

Anyway, wore this to dinner last night – love the cheerfulness of this neon pink sweater, and so comfy too! Thanks go to Dee for taking these pics for me, you’re the best babe ๐Ÿ˜‰ Continue reading

Time Out’s Fashion Pop-Up Shop

27 Sep

On Saturday night we attended the VIP launch of Time Out Beijing’s Fashion Pop-up shop, part of Beijing Design Week. The ‘shop’ is located in south Beijing off Dawailangying Hutong, an alley dotted with fantastic Chinese eateries & snack stalls (hint: don’t go there hungry or you’ll be drooling the whole way down like I was… ๐Ÿ˜‰ )! The space is amazing, and participants include Rickshaw Roasters cafe, DJ Jason Wu, TopShop and Topman collections, Time Out’s fashion photography exhibition, and others.. The most exciting for me to see was the launch of AnyWearStyle, the brain child of my very talented friend, Alice. You can check out their awesomeย website for all China-related fashion stories & news, or look on AnyShopStyleย to browse some great local labels & designer collections! My outfit for the event was very simple (having spent the earlier part of the day watching the rugby! haha), but must confess I love this leopard shirt.. makes me feel more tanned for some reason? haha ๐Ÿ˜‰

Hope you’re all having a great week so far! ๐Ÿ™‚

Keeping it simple

25 Sep

Another manic (but very enjoyable) weekend has come and gone, my apologies that I haven’t posted in a couple of days! Friday night was spent celebrating MeiLi’s birthday at her friend’s amazing hutong house – the pictures don’t justify it! Here are a few shots from that night – a simple black & white outfit and my silver mirror nails which are so crazy… I found a place at the 3.3 Mall which had them (they’re the stick-on type) and I decided to experiment! ๐Ÿ™‚

Hope you had a good weekend too! ๐Ÿ™‚ย The fabulous David Ubl ๐Ÿ˜‰ย

With everyone always running around and living such busy lives, it’s always so nice to be able to sit down and catch up with good friends – and I so love hanging out with my girls! ๐Ÿ™‚ Last night I had dinner with two of my fav Beijing girls Yaya & Karen – both of them are so sweet (and gorgeous!) and it was great to catch up again ๐Ÿ™‚

Thanks to Karen for taking these few outfit shots too ๐Ÿ™‚ See you guys on Fridayyyy!

Cover girl! ;)

21 Sep

Guess what..?! The latest issue of City Weekend came out today, and it features the Fall Fashion Special that Rich & I shot a few weeks ago! And a huge surprise was they used our picture on the cover too – amazing! ๐Ÿ™‚ So strange to see myself on the cover and in the pages… but definitely awesome too, haha ๐Ÿ™‚

Once again a huge big thank you to the CW team for the opportunity, and for making the shoot so fun!ย  Continue reading

Sunshine in the Jing!

20 Sep

I don’t know what kind of miracle has happened, but Beijing has had GORGEOUS weather lately! Have been making the most by sneaking out of the office as soon as it’s time for lunch break ๐Ÿ˜‰ Here are a few snaps from around one of my fav lunch haunts, Sanlitun Village ๐Ÿ™‚

Happy Tuesday guys ๐Ÿ˜‰ย  Continue reading

A charity bazaar & Black Rabbit Music Fest!

19 Sep

Last Saturday we decided to go and check out Beijing’s annual international charity bazaar at Chaoyang Park. The event is organised byย Madam Le Aimei, wife of Foreign Minister Yang Jiechi, with proceeds going towards ethnic minorities in Yunnan. The NZ stand was selling lots of yummy goodies like wine, honey, kiwifruit, and coffee… although we arrived a little late and it was already sold out! Luckily there was still a lot of things to buy and try at the other stands ๐Ÿ™‚ After the bazaar we headed to Chaoyang Sports Park for the inaugural Black Rabbit Music Festival! We managed to get right up close to international acts Yellowcard, 30 Seconds to Mars, Ludacris, Grandmaster Flash, as well as Chinese heavyweight rock band, P.K.14. It was so bright and sunny all day, perfect autumn weather for being outside – and so awesome to have this new addition to Beijing’s music scene! ๐Ÿ™‚

Hope you enjoy the pics, and happy Monday everyone! ๐Ÿ™‚
