Yeti in the City!

16 Dec

Happy Friday everyone! 🙂 Today is a wonderful day – it’s my first official day of HOLIDAY (yay!) and I’m flying home to New Zealand tonight! I’m going to be spending Christmas with my family, and it’s been so long since we were all together so I’m really looking forward to it! Plus it’s almost summer in NZ so I am planning on spending a lot of time at the beach, hehe 🙂 It will be strange doing ‘summer’ outfit posts in the middle of Northern Hemisphere winter, but I’m excited to show you guys photos from around Auckland – it’s beautiful! 🙂 In other very exciting news – my new site is finally up and running! 🙂 I am so so happy with it, and want to say a huge big THANK YOU to my amazing boyfriend for helping me make it all happen 🙂 What do you guys think?? 🙂 Before I sign off, here is a quick post of my new jacket  – it’s very very fluffy/hairy and makes me look like a chicken if I’m not careful but I love it all the same! haha 😉 Next time I post it will be from NZ – until then, hope you all have a lovely Friday! 🙂 Photo credit goes to Adriana– thank you so much babe! 🙂 Jacket: Zara / Woollen jumper: Uniqlo / Jeans: Zara / Wedge booties: Spring / Sunnies: Karen Walker / Bracelets: markets / Bird skull necklace: Fashionology / Nailpolish: Chanel Peridot ♥B xx

White blazer

1 Nov

This blazer makes me feel a little bit posh haha 🙂 I wore this to the relaunch of the Marriot Northeast’s Indian restuarant, Tadka, where they had a wine tasting. The food was great (amazing lamb), and the wine was from a family-owned German winery called Schneider – their red wines are incredible, and that’s coming from a white-wine drinker!

Hope you’re having a great Tuesday! Happy 1st of November (Nov already, yikes!) and see you again tomorro 🙂

Faux fur vest

24 Oct

Announcement: New Zealand is the 2011 Rugby World Cup Champion!! Hooray! 🙂 It was an incredibly close and nerve-wracking match, with the French side putting on a really good performance, but we just managed to squeeze to a 8-7 victory! I now have no voice or nails left… haha 😉

On to the outfit pics.. oh how I wish it was still warm enough to wear this faux fur vest without layers underneath like I did just last week.. but no, Beijing has suddenly decided: It Is Now Winter! I wore this to lunch with Sally – we were trying out this new place ‘Obentos‘ which does healthy Japanese food and Bento boxes! It’s also owned by a friend so that made it even more exciting 🙂 The food was so yummy and made me miss Japan – I was there for Christmas last year and ate almost nonstop the whole trip!

Back to the outfit… these boots are the charcoal version of the ones I wore in last week’s post, they’re so comfy (believe it or not!) and go so well with all my skinny jeans 🙂 And although we tried to hide it, what you can see in the background is not cloud but mild smog (yes mild – you should have seen it yesterday!)… isn’t it lovely!? :S Hope you all had a great weekend! 🙂

Grace Beijing relaunch

16 Sep

Here are a few pics from Wed night’s relaunch of Grace Beijing, a gorgeous luxury hotel in Beijing’s quirky Art District, 798. There was live music, wine, and yummy snacks and canapes on offer as everyone mingled in the hotel’s beautiful outdoor courtyard. It was nice to be outside enjoying the last of the warm evenings while we still can! 🙂

And now it’s FRIDAY already, hooray! NZ is playing its second game of the Rugby World Cup – I’ll definitely be cheering our team on from some sports pub in Beijing! 😉 Hope you all have a great Friday!  Continue reading
